TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ELIGIBILITY
The Bus to School busing program is open to every student who attends Erindale Secondary School-Mississauga. Every effort will be made to provide busing for all students however, it may not be possible (nor does the bus to school program guarantee) to provide busing for every student who applies. If we are unable to provide a seat on the bus full refund will be given. Efficient routing and adequate bus loading are essential.

Bus service will be available within IB program boundary defined by Peel Board for the school

Only those students who have paid the required fees and continue to be in good standing are permitted to ride on buses provided by the Bus to School program. Buses do not enter housing sub- divisions when under construction or when roads are under major repair. Parents must ensure that students get to and from the bus stop safely.

ROUTES, STOP LOCATIONS AND RIDE TIMES
Each year the bus routes are structured to accommodate the students enrolled in regional programs as per boundary defined by school boards to the best of our ability. Each school year the bus routes change and are based on the applications received as per application deadline. We will do our best to provide the closest and safest stop to each rider. Safety and efficiency are key considerations in creating the bus routes. Drivers are not permitted to make any changes to stop locations. Please note that students are not to ask the bus driver to drop or pick them up at other locations. We will strive to have a distance of less than 750 meters from the student's home to the bus stop and maximum ride time of ninety minutes.

One-way applications are processed only after all two way applications have been accommodated and if space is still available and they are accommodated on existing stops. Parents will be responsible for getting students to stops as one-way riders are accommodated on existing stop locations and riders may have to walk a distance of more than 750 meters.

One Semester applications are processed only after all two way and one-way applications have been accommodated and if space is still available and they are accommodated on existing stops. Parents will be responsible for getting students to stops as one-semester riders are accommodated on existing stop locations and riders may have to walk a distance of more than 750 meters.

Applications received after the application deadline date, are processed only after all prior applications have been accommodated and if space is still available. Routes will not be altered to accommodate late applicants. Parents will be responsible for getting students to stops as late applicants are accommodated on existing stop locations and riders may have to walk a distance of more than 750 meters.

Our goal is to ensure that all students arrive at school safely approximately 10 minutes before the start of the school day. In order to give students adequate time to go to their lockers after school, the buses will leave the schools 10 minutes after the bell rings.

COST PER STUDENT

The cost is as per details in payment option above. Please note, in some cases large musical instruments, which take up seating space, may not be accommodated.

Online applications submitted after the deadline date (Package postmarked 1 business day after the deadline date, even if online application has been done before the deadline date) are considered late and shall have to be accompanied by the late application fee and will be processed only after all prior applications have been accommodated and if space is still available.

All late applications must be accompanied by a certified funds and must also include $150 late fee. Applications received after August 1st will be processed after September 15. Do not expect to ride the bus before September 15.

Date of receipt of the application is considered to be the date on which all forms, correctly completed and agreed upon, along with (payment) are received.

NSF POLICY
Your application will not be processed if your (payment) is returned back to us as an NSF. All NSF (payments) must be replaced immediately by e-transfer and must include the $50 NSF service charge.
BUS PASSES:
Bus passes will be required to board the bus. All applicants who have paid in full (post-dated cheques processed) by August 1st will receive their bus pass in the second week of August. The student's name and route number will be on the bus pass. If you do not receive your pass by August 20th, please contact Bus to School via e-mail or telephone.

A request for a replacement bus pass will have to be made using the bus pass replacement form. Form needs to be duly signed and mailed e-transfer for the replacement fee.

ADDRESS CHANGE POLICY:
Bus routes for the school year are processed 15 days after the application deadline date. If a student is to change his/her address after that time, Bus To School will try to accommodate the student on an alternate route and at an existing stop location subject to availability. The student may have a longer walk distance. There will be no refunds granted due to an address change occurring 15 days after the deadline.
However, we suggest that if parents are aware of the new location ahead of time that they fill out the application accordingly.

A request for address change after 15 days of application deadline will have to be made on the address change form. Form needs to be duly signed and mailed with the e-transfer for the administration fee.

REFUND POLICY
Parents must commit to the busing program for a full year. If you no longer require busing from us, NO refund will be issued.

Withdrawals can be made within 15 days after the application deadline for a refund. Anadministrative fee of $50 will be deducted from the refund.

EXCEPTIONS:
If the target walk distance, as mentioned in the application package is not achieved, you will have the option of a full refund provided you notify the Bus to School program in writing within 10 days of receiving your confirmation e-mail. This exception does not apply to one-way riders, late applicants and address change riders, as they are accommodated on existing stop locations. We may not be able to provide busing for each and every student who requests it. If we are not able to provide busing for any reason, you will be notified and a full refund will be given.

BUS CANCELLATION / EARLY PICKUP POLICY:

Bus to School program observes the same bus cancellation policy as the District School Boards. Therefore, if the District School Boards cancel busing due to weather or any other conditions, the Bus to School buses will also be cancelled. This also applies not only to busing in the morning to school, but also applies if the District School Boards decide to pick up students early in the afternoon due to weather condition or any other conditions.

Your signature on the Acknowledgement of Agreement and Terms & Conditions confirms your acceptance to this policy and your authorization for your child to be let out of school early under these conditions.
